The Team Grows & Looking For Talent

Just a quick update this time around.

First of all I wanted to announce the arrival of a new team member, the game now has a writer! We have started on the base story already, and I'm very pleased with it so far. He's a talented writer with a few books under his belt already, and is an indie dev himself. Not just this, but his storytelling is exactly what I have been looking for, and can handle the dream-like ethereal nature of the game's concepts brilliantly. We met actually through him reviewing my game and posting it to YouTube!

I'll be converting his writing into a poetic format, to further lean into the dream-world nature of everything. Don't worry, it won't be Seussian basic rhymes formatting -- I have been writing poetry since I was young and it has always been a passion, even if not fully shared with the online world. With the combination of his story-telling abilities and my own firm foundation of prose and poetry, we will be making a memorable experience that stands out and captivates from the very start. There are already some memorable plot twists planned!

The cutscenes will be formatted as animated comic-book panels, with exceptional artwork from talented artists I have had the pleasure of knowing (even if only on a professional level), inspired by the heavy-inking style of Frank Miller.

Also being added to the team is a new partner to help development of the game, who will help with production management to some extent, marketing, and talent resourcing. We are still in talks about the specifics, though he is enthusiastic about the project and I'm certain will be of great benefit to getting this game made.

This brings the confirmed roster up to 6, and once I have funding will grow further. Right now though until I do acquire funds the team working on development in this pre-production stage is limited to 3 people. I am keeping the rest of the team on standby until I can pay them, those who are working on it in this early stage have volunteered their time freely (although I will most certainly repay their time and efforts). Rest assured that despite any delays in development I've gone through, this game will be made and work continues on it as always. I have made this game my full-time job.

I have scouted talent for several roles silently, and approached a few already, mostly artists. That said there are still roles available that I have no prospects for and am willing to interview for positions on the team. If you are or know anyone who does the following, be sure to get in touch! I'll need an animator, community manager, netcode programmer, and perhaps an additional VFX artist. I'm also branching out into YouTube marketing and devlogs, and so a video editor would help greatly too.

Cheers!
