PROTOTYPE UPDATE!
Howdy!
BIG news everyone! While working on getting the new demo together, digging through the prototype's files for some code bits, I came to realize something HUGE. The prototype that was publicly available? It's not the most recent build I made for it before putting a pause on the project!
I went through all the commit notes too for all the changes since the publicly released version. Thankfully I was pretty thorough with my notes, but there were instances where I put in a lot of work and lost track of some of the smaller changes. This means that the full list of changes since the last public build is even bigger than what's listed below.
It's important to note that this prototype was built using an older version of Godot, and I am not recompiling the old project files. This release is just a package of what I had already compiled years before. And since it was a developer build of the game, it's only available on Windows platforms.
This was no small amount of updates -- game feel, polish, balancing, and bug fixes all got plenty of attention. While this old prototype stands as a great playable example of what the game is and will be, it's also important to remember that it's a prototype that is being rebuilt with updated art, code, and assets. In any case I'm proud of what I've made, and still have a lot of fun playing it. I think that certainly counts for something, especially all these years later.
Give the updated prototype demo a try!
Cheers,
Leo LeBlanc
